Installing Hive onto a Glow Worm Essential 28c (Details in post)

Hello all.

My partner has recently moved into a new place and it has a Glow Worm Essential 28c combo boiler with a Salus RT500RF wireless thermostat attached. I would like to upgrade to a Hive thermostat (single channel for combi) for easier programming/Alexa linking etc.

Below is a picture of the current wiring and what I assume the Hive wiring will have to look like. Just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing anything boiler explodingly obvious.

yes that is the correct wiring

As above correct. It would be better if no copper is on show like it is now, and guessing the connector block was used to extend the L.

Thanks both. I was planning on tidying up the previous cables a bit as it’s not he neatest.

Erm.... except the diagram shows 4 wires but in the photo there are only 3. Wouldn't this be more correct?

Well. This is embarrassing. Not quite sure how I added an extra wire.
