thermostatic mixer valve

hi my missus dad has put in the valve but connected cold to hot etc will the shower still work by turning cold on for hot etc or do the pipes have to be changed over please help

just tried it no hot water boilers not firing either

turn them round will play havoc with the thermostatic balancing

cant you get to the pipework under the bath, floor etc and switch them there ?

fraid not isolating valves are 3 inches above bath and the partion is not deep enough

what make, model of valve is it ?
some you can turn the whole mixer valve round and change the hose connection.

Have you checked the instructions? On some valves the mixer cartridge can be adjusted to compensate for crossed feed.
