Hi,

I am looking to get my existing bathroom replaced I am looking for some advice with regards to my choice of thermostatic mixer.

I have had some bad experiences in the past with the temerature control being incredibly sensitive, is this a common problem or is it due to poor installation or poor design? What should I be looking for? are some brands better than others? If so could you give me some examples of good ones?

I am not saying price is not important (it is) but if i need to pay a bit more to get a good, stable mixer please recommend some!

Just to throw another spanner in the works I am also looking at the possibility of a Thermostatic shower controller with a diverter to goto the bath filler, e.g. Bathstores' Metro horizontal thermostatic shower bath valvehttp://www.bathstore.com/_application/bathstore/products/showers/shower-valves/index.html#

Does anyone have any experience of this particular product?

Any advice is much appreciated.

My brother in law has that range in his old flat - fitted it himself. Seemed alright when I used it and it worked with his combi boiler, i.e. responding ok to different flow when someone turns the tap on etc.
