Thermostatic shower with concealed temperature valve

Hi Dylan, I’ve got the same problem with my shower and before I start taking it all down what’s the secret in taking apart the flipper fitting to access the valves for cleaning please. Is it simply pull apart as Chris states or is it tThe twisting counter clockwise.
