hi there, Im after some help...

I'm thinking of buying a dishwasher but the washing machine is using the existing water feed and drain under the sink.
My question is how or can the washing machine and dishwasher both share the same plumbing and how do do you combine them?

I know to buy a Y split for the feed, but my concern is the drainage.
I live in a pre 1800 home and the washing machine drainage is just a 'L' join can both use this drainage?

Look forward to hearing from anyone with advice...
Thankyou :D

They can both use the same waste, just feed them into an upstand or directly into the sink waste, using the correct adapter.
