I've just installed some hardiebacker for a shower and am just about to tape the joints. Every video online seems to show people using grey adhesive but I have white. Maybe a silly question but will White be ok for taping between boards? Thanks

Whats the brand name on the powder bag?

Taping backer board joints is OK with either grey or white - the right colour choice must be made with certain tiles tho. Again, the instructions on the bag should tell you whats what before you mix powder or fix tile - any doubts call BAL.
