I don't really see the need or relevance for that article's focus on jews. My interpretation is that they disapprove of the Green party taking Labour's voters away, they happen to be led by someone jewish so they are choosing to paint a star on its leader to try and steer their anti-semitic readers away from them.

I think they're pointing out 'The Gaza Effect' on British politics has split a traditional core vote for Labour and Tory alike into a left-wing/pro-Palestine lobby to the Greens and a right-wing/Pro Zionist alliance to 'reform'. It's spread much wider than that but for the purposes of illustrating the effect of Israel's prolonged war on Jewish attitudes is more pertinent.
