Also, I would like to take the fron off and clean all the back boiler, and ideas?

you want somebody to tell you how to dismantle, service, reassemble and test an open flued appliance and you dont know how to light the pilot

The boiler was serviced in May, but not used since. I was hoping to vacuum out the fluff that will have accumulated since.

pilot press and hold grey button (btm left)

press igniter button (bottom right) under the thermostat
if the boiler has not been used it will be clean

Appreciate the help, not looking good though as no button on left, and nothing under thermostat dial on right.

Kev,

Appreciate all the help. There is no power leaving the pcb to the main solenoid.

Kev,

Part number 53 on the Thorn Spectacular sheet.

Appreciate all your help, I'll get it fitted next week.

Best regards

Turn the boiler stat off, set all controls calling for heat then turn boiler to 5, should start ignition sequence, if not wait 30 secs switch off and back to 5 again.

Make sure new timeswitch is sending 240v down to the boiler
