why was this thread shut down (i was finding it interesting if you skipped past the couple of childish posts)

would it not have been better to have deleted or removed the childish posts to allow the discussion to continue?

It isn`t shut down, well not to me anyway however it does look odd with some posts missing/ deleted.

oh...... it was shut down when i posted, maybe the mod see what i wrote and acted accordingly.

I believe if a thread is being amended by a mod it appears locked.

That is correct, in order to moderate a thread you need no one else posting in it so the first thing to do is lock it, sort out the issues then unlock it.

I suppose it’s pot luck which moderator gets the job of fixing it - down to their personal views then? I wonder whether some mods are anti Brexit, anti vaccination, anti Tory etc?
