My petrol Y-reg Honda Accord v-type occasionally suffers from a slight hesitation when pulling away from rest when hot. According to gauge, it never overheats. Car is otherwise faultless and low mileage (70K). I always use premium unleaded.

I have been advised to 'clean the throttle'. but I can't seem to find any instructions for this anywhere

Any comments on the advice, or how to do the job, would be appreciated.

dont scrape anything with screwdrivers etc when you do it, you should only use carb spray cleaner and maybe a toothbrush/paint brush to remove deposits.

Remove it and spray it out with throttle body cleaner, then Use a soft toothbrush on any stubborn spots. This worked for me, but I just did it as PM, not due to a problem.
