ticking noise from radiator (when heating not on)

hiya all, as the title suggests, seems to tick every few mins, (in our front room) its a large single panel with a thermastic rad valve, which works fine.

any thoughts please, even when you havent had the heating on for a fair few hours it seems to do it, very random? doesnt seem to be leaking from anything

Ignore it. No problem.

Most likely to be pipe work contacting as it cools down causing the ticking noise, it should eventually stop once the water temperature has stabilised

Or it could be that the small plastic clips are missing from the radiator brackets fitted to the wall, you could remove the radiator and put a few turns of electrical tape where metal to metal meet.
