Tile Adhesive

I have today (with my partner) tiled our kitchen, making sure that i have wiped the tile adhesive from the tiles using a wet sponge as instructed. I have come to clean up the kitchen sink (black granite) and thought i had done a good job until ten minutes later i noticed it looked like someone had splashed it with a wet paint brush. I scrubbed it clean again and the same the staining has reappeared!! What and how do i get rid of these water/tile adhesive marks? I've only had the kitchen sink two weeks and will be gutted if i have ruined it!!

Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.
