I am guessing that you are going to have to remove the bath to tile in the first place. Can you not remove the waste and use a hole cutter?

Yes bath can be removed and a hole cutter for tile but the crome pipe is a bend in one.

Would I be able to slide tile over crome and around the bend ?

Possibly but that depends on the size of the tile and sounds really difficult. Additionally, you will have to cut a hole large enough to accommodate the nut.

Cut waste pipe at vertical section out of floor and add new elbow section allowing tile to drop over pipe.
