Tile around glass bath screen, or before attaching screen?

When attaching a glass bath screen to a wall, is it usual to either:

a) attach glass bath screen to wall and then tile around it, or,
b) tile wall, then attach glass bath screen to wall

My recent bathroom install was tile then fit screen

Secure it with the fittings provided...don't use adhesive
Mine was glued and screwed...probably by a carpenter 20 years ago I think
Won't come off now...if I force it the tiles will crack
