Tile backer board

Does anyboby know if you can dot&dab these board's? Cheer's

I think they meant to go on batten installed to manufacture specification .

what are you goin to fix them to - solid wall or stud framing?
will this be a wet wall, tiled over?

Apparently you can dot and dab with tile adhesive. But I'd put a few screws through into the wall to be safe.

One side is thermelite one side is stud wall
I will put some batons on the wall to be safe.
I will use an off cut and try dot & dabbing it to
see what happens.
