Tile Baseboards

Just wondering what adhesive you would use for attaching ceramic tile baseboard over existing wall tiles in a bathroom? Could I use silicone adhesive or PL Premium? Sure appreciate any input.

Existing tiles should be removed ! Not over boarded then tiled again

Er, not a good idea. I’ve never fixed backer board over existing tiles & you should really remove the tiles & start from scratch. Backer board must also be mechanically fixed, usually to battens but you can dot & dab them & secure with through fixings.

You can actually tile over existing tiles providing they are securely fixed & you use the correct adhesive but it’s generally regarded as a bit of a bodge.

rip it all out, start again. be happy with better outcome.

If you do hack them off be prepared that you will probably have to replaster the wall.
