Tile clips.

Hi everyone,

I’m about to start the roof on my single story rear extension. It’s 9m across and 3.5m out from the house.

I’m just planning what I need in the way of clips. Am I right in thinking, eaves clips along the first row, tile clips along the second row and verge clips up the verge and also around the velux windows?

Also do I need to put tile clips on anymore of the tiles or is nailing them at the top enough?

Depends on exposure and pitch of roof but for the amount of tiles i would clip them all.

The pitch is 18 degrees and we’re by the sea so it gets a bit windy at times so I’ll clip them all
Should I nail each tile and clip it aswell?

I would just clip them, repairing any breakage is a nightmare when clipped and nailed.
