I have an argos table bench saw http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/7105795/Trail/searchtext>WATT.htm

It has a 200mm TCT blade with 16mm bore currently fitted.

I want to cut some tiles so would like to fit it with a diamond tipped tile cutting blade. They are standard ceramic tiles. Is this possible?

What blade can I use? I cant seem to find one with 16mm bore, can I only fit a 16mm bore blade?

I dont really understand what the bore size is.

Please help. Thanks

The bore size is the diameter of the hole in the middle of the blade, and the motor shaft that goes through it is called the arbor. The two sizes are critically matched to eachother. Often blades have inserts that can reduce a blade hole size to that of the machine arbor.
Your table saw is great for general cutting and ripping small section material.
In your case, go for a genuine tile cutting saw - the blade diameter is much smaller and they are also watercooled - and once you've used one you'll wonder how you got by without it. They are cheap enough, and available from the usual outlets. Cheers John

put a towel under it and wear old clothes, you'll likely get wet.. it sprays off the blade and drips off the tiles and the bed..
