Tile over wooden and concrete floor?

just been reading your thread...

you say you had to bring up 1ft to bring level?

200mm type 1 compacted
25mm soft sand
1200g dpm
75mm sand/cement screed
tile adhesive
tiles
grout

or adrex A45 for levelling it.

i would have got any pipe work/elect diverted/moved proir to any off the above.

I'm a bit confused by what you're suggesting. I've dropped in 80mm of ballast now and and have about 40-50mm left to play with.

As I said previously there's 3 sections and it's not totally level at the moment.

ok
lay 25mm soft sand then 1200gauge dpm ontop running up your walls 150mm...
then get a gypsum based screed laid...these can be laid to 40mm thick..

only thing about a gypsum(andryhite screed) this will need a little more prep work proir to any tile fixing..1mm per day drying time,depedant on elements etc...
