can anyone help please. i have moved into a rental flat for the short term (one year to eighteen months)
I have all these nasty tiles in bathroom that have been painted over. the paint is really looking pretty worse for wear . in spots around the bath where it has been cleaned a lot the paint has all worn away. there is lots of these tiles all round the room. some of them are cracked , perhaps that is why they were painted over.
should i strip the paint off and take pot luck on what i am left with.
what would be the best thing to do , considering i am not staying here permanently.
i dont mind if i have to do a bit of work every few months to keep it looking nice. just as long as it is clean and hard wearing.
I am quite adept at diy and home maintenance so could give most things a go.
thank you in advance. this is the first time i have asked a question

You could scrape down the flaking paint and then prime with a tile primer. When dry you can apply a tile paint. I have used different makes in the past but have to say by far and away the best was the international range.
