Hi,

I have a need to install a tile vent. Tiles are interlocking Forticrete Gemini.

I removed two tiles in different rows last night to find that the rafter is either right in the middle of the tile or impedes fitting by about 1/4-1/2 inch (the connector on the back of the vent for extractor take off)

What are the options? Is it acceptable to sister the rafter and notch it? What would a roofer do when retrofitting in this scenario?

Thanks

If you can not move over a bit more . Use a lead slate a piece of pipe , weathering collar and a mushroom cowl . You can put it more or less anywhere

Thankyou chaps, not something I've done before - was hoping to just slot the vent tile in but will take a look.
