the previous owners of my house tiled the kitchen worktops with the same tiles as they've used on the walls. They're quite large tiles about 10" square made to look like they're smaller mosaic tiles. They look nice the only problem is cleaning the damn things as stuff gets stuck in all the gaps - is there anything I could cover the whole lot with i.e. a sheet of some kind of clear plastic, although it would have to be heat proof.
