Tiles to wood

Please can you tell me if there is a special tile adhesive required to stick ceramic tiles to wood or just normal adhesive cheers .

You will need a flexible adhesive, powdered is better than tub mix. If this is for a floor then read the sticky about preparing the floorboards first.

Jason thanks for replying , what i am doing is extending a floor by about 75mm which then steps down so rather than try and cement this gap i thought i would infill with timber so effectively most of the tile is on concrete floor and 75mm on to the wood infill , hope this seems clear .
So i would need flexible adhesive , cheers for that .

Yes and flexi grout.

I would still be worried about the differential movement of timber/conc causing a crack along the joint.
