Hi guys,
I'm new to the forum but their seem to be some really knowledgeable people here so thought I'd ask some advice!

I need some help regarding how to make this look clean again with the same style but new tiles?

1) Their used to be some plywood/chipboard/ grout underneath the old tiles which had gone rotten due a extremely slow drip from a cracked pot cistern. This is now nearly all out as the pics show.

2) The floor now seems dry after a few weeks but the new toilet has been screwed down to the floor and back wall and the base is obviously a different shape to the old toilet.

3) I don't really want to pull the first tile out as it will stand out and be too noticeable I think and won't fit as before.

4) Their is little flex on the rear waste so I think some kind of new fitment may be needed.

How would you professionals do this?

Take the toilet out and re-tile with a levelling mix and fill the first tile with an inch of grout?

I don't have the tools or know how on how to fit a new shape of tile to go around the toilet neetly and neither does the plumber who fitted the toilet.

This was the original fitted toilet...

Hopefully the pics are viewable....please post if not.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Take the toilet out, re-tile the floor, refit toilet with any necessary adjustments to the waste.

This would be a lot easier if you have a second toilet, as you can take a few days making sure the flooring is completely dry before fitting the toilet.

Thanks Andy.

I thought this would be the cleanest option myself but I think the plumber wants to have a go at re-fitting new tiles around the toilet but im not sure how hes gonna shape and level it. :?: Ill keep all updated.

If the damaged tile to the front is removed it should be possible to slide a tile under the loo and then replace the front tile.
