tiling around the sink in the bathroom

If I was cutting tiles around the sink is it best to leave the sink as it is and use a tile cutter or remove the pedestal and lay the tiles like that, can someone help me please.

if you have the option then removing the sink will give a much better finish. be careful if your just removing the ped and expecting it to go straight back in - as obviously it will be higher after the tile is there!

Plus if your basin isn't screwed to the wall properly it will put pressure on the hot & cold pipes if it falls
