hey there,

so as the post states, I'm looking for some friendly advice.

I have a 22ft conservatory and this winter it has zapped our heat, so I'm wanting to get a log burner put in there. I'm still in the early days of planning, and I've had a few (CRACKERS) quotes, but for the best part of it, i'm gonna do a lot of the work myself with my partner.

So I've chosen the wall I want the stove on, its currently wallpapered and needs a plug point and the two lights removing off it. However, I'm wondering, do I remove the skirting board aswell? will that be damaged by the heat?

This wall will also need tiling, so what sort of tiles can I use, because I had my heart set on a few groovy looking birdcage tiles, but I'm unsure of what materials to use?

anybody lend their wise advice please:)

cheers
Frankie
