Tiling on Brickwall without water proof pannel

Dear Forum,

My tiler said that we don't need to have a waterproof pannel (aquapannel) before the tiles can be put on because our bathroom wall is brick. All we need is to have it plastered then tile on.

Could you please give us a guide on the cost of having the existing tile removed and plastered on without tiling. The total area is about 20 squared meteres.

to get a real price you need to get a tiler in to come quote at your house, its really difficult to give accurate prices on diy forums especially when you dont know the whole story
