tiling onto wpb ply

I have looked at quite a few sources now and am getting conflicting views so hope someone can help.

I have built a new shower enclosure and used wpb ply for one of the shower walls. I was wondering what i need to do to it before tiling. Is a layer of watered down pva enough or does it need sealing at all?

Hopefully someone can give a definitive answer as I am getting so many differing views.

You won't go far wrong if you follow the advice in this guide http://www.ytc-tiles.com/articles/bal-tiling-guide.pdf
Don't use PVA in a wet area.
