Hi Guys

We are having a conservatory installed and are having some electric underfloor heating fitted.
Yesterday the guys laid the cabling and poured over the self levelling compound. I have noticed that a number of the cables are not fully covered. Should this be a cause for concern?

As I understand it the tiler will be arriving tomorrow to lay tiles and I worry that with some cabling exposed they might be more prone to damage in the long term?

I don't really know much about this stuff so you'll have to forgive my ignorance! I'm probably worried about nothing here.

I've added a picture so you can see what I mean

Thanks

Also make sure to check continuity in the cables to make sure no damage is done before they start tiling and after

Thanks guys. The tiler came over and did his thing and apparently all went well. I did raise my concerns but was assured that it would be OK. Guess I'll find out in a few days when I turn it on!

Glad that it went well for you.
However, its not all that difficult laying tile over the cables themselves without any SLC - its a slower job but its often done.
What might be a concern, is that the SLC laid by whoever is merely a swill a few mm's deep.
If you paid for that SLC job then you've been ripped.
