Hello, I have a low level concealed cistern behind half height wood panelling and would like to have a removable tiled top with a small overhang. I thought I would need to tile on to a 15mm ply base but my tile shop suggested 6mm Hardiebackerboard. Would that be sturdy enough on its own? The tile is 9.5mm thick. I have been finding it difficult to located a chrome trim that would cover the tile and the base together but a 25mm trim would probably work with 6mm base. Or is there another way I could do it? Thanks
