Hi

Just started on the epic road of renovations and am due to finish tiling kitchen.

How do you pros finish off to a door? Not sure of the term but do you use a tile strip or a form of 'ramp'.

I am tiling to what was an exterior door and there is a stone lintel(?) on the floor, the tiles will sit about 14mm above?

Any help/suggestions on what is best practice would be great thank you :D

Does the door not have an architrave surround or are you tiling up to the edge of a reveal? When stopping tiles it’s usual to use either a tile trim;

or even nothing at all if not at the edge of a wall or reveal where it would be subject to knocks.

I confess I’m a bit confused by your post & the “lintel” you mention, perhaps a picture may explain better. :confused:
