My timber conservatory is in need of some new woodwork. Specifically, it's the wood strips with rubber inserts that hold the roof glazing (polycarbonate in my case) in place, and the decorated capping strip on the ridge.

Trouble is I don't know the correct terms for these pieces, so I can't do an effective Google search for them or for suppliers.

Can anyone help me with the correct terminology, please? And with any suggestions for sources of just these components in North Herts.

Thanks, Xerxes.

Now that I've Googled "glazing bar" I see that what I really need is only the capping strip, and I've got quite a choice in pvc, aluminium, and wood. Maybe I'll go for aluminium for a longer life.
