Bolt a bit of joist section in there a bit smaller in the height.

Use packers to get the timber flush with the webs

Hold in place with bolts

Is that a column section. You could probably slot the or notch the joist to fit inside the flanges.
Otherwise bolt a timer and use jiffies

When you say bolt, do you mean i drill through the middle or staggered offsets along the i-beam and bolt through it?

My normal spec is M12 bolts at 600mm centres with timber to fully pack the beam webs. These can be lapped and nailed. Then use joist hangers wrapped over the top. No need to stagger.

With a good drill and bit (or hire a mag drill) the holes wont take long.

Normally only drill along the centre axis.

The joists you fix to the timber will prevent any twisting.

Looks like you have 3" of flange to rest your floor joists on! why is the other part finished if you intend to continue the floor?
