Hi all,

I have a Vaillant Turbomax 824E combi boiler (with one of those simple Honeywell single dial room thermostats).

At the moment, we don't have any 'timer' facility. I realise that getting a purpose built timer fitted would probably be the first recommendation, but as money is very tight, I thought I'd ask whether anyone knows of a cheap suitable timer plug that would work with my specific boiler (ie the sort that just plugs into a plug socket and the boiler plug goes into the timer).

Thanks in advance for any help

And what happens when there is a hot water demand during the “off” periods set at said plug-in timer?

One of those will isolate the whole boiler - not just the heating periods !!

Let alone the issue of no pump overrun allowed for when power is cut.
