Hope you can help. Can I replace an old style dial timer with a new digital timer. Although the old one works fine, it only alloews you 2 time settings per day, digital, seem to be more flexable and programmable than this.

Thanks for your help.

Yes!!

Get a programmable thermostat, not just a programmer, they give better temperature control than a mechanical thermostat, which is what you probably have. Take a look at the Honeywell CM907 (wired) and CM927 (wireless).

I cant find a stat anywhere in the house, just have thermostatic valves on every rad. Does this sound right? unfortunately I'm a novice when it comes to central heating! Will this also effect the earlier given advice?
Thanks again for your help.

Current regulations say that you need a "boiler interlock". This usually means a room thermostat, but some modern boilers provide their own interlock. Which boiler do you have - make and full model No or GC No?

Depends on which boiler.
