tips for blocklaying in the rain?

Guys..been trying to get a fairly small amount of blocks laid the past week and it is continually raining in the eves when i get home from work..its really getting on my nerves as i end up dumping mortar every eve(usually starts raining the second pick up the trowel)...any tips?...or should i bite my tongue and avoid it?

Believe it or not i was wearing something like that this eve!!
Rain stopped anyway and got most of it out of the way...invested in an outdoor work light that allowed me work a lot longer..only wish i bought it earlier
