This old pc of mine I built it with the idea of using it to WP, spreadsheets (XL) make websites but i now also watch video clips (no not whole videos, just things like u tube, and short demo clips of things "i make" )

But sometimes when even watching a short clip it sometimes seems to "struggle"

Now since i only built it with simple tasks in mind I only have an El cheapo graphics card, would I be better off if i had a graphics card that had its own memory?

(i think the answer will be, yes, but i just want to clarify)

I dont remeber what the pc spec is but its got win xp, over 500mb of ram and an amd processor and no idea what the mobo is, but it was a maplin bundle

Yes, a dedicated card would be better, but the whole performance thing depends on the combination of components.

thanks, i thought that was the answer.

I do understand what you say, but since this pc has a circa 1920 graphics card, it has no on board anything.

ok so graphics cards didnt exist in 1920 but you get what i mean
