... that is the question.

Currently we have uPVC mahogany (inside and out) window frames. They are around 20 years old. Personally we would prefer white on the inside and currently the house is going through full refurbishment. Sofits, fascias, bathrooms, kitchen and walls being skimmed.

Am I daft thinking about replacing these frames? We are not sure if it is the house we want to stay in for ever or just use as a stop gap (see how much value we add when complete... this might make our mind up if we want another project).

Interested in other peoples opinions. Thanks, Simon

Hard to say really.

How do they look from the outside? If the condition is good and the color suits the house I dont think changing them would add any value (just cost money). On the other hand being white on the inside would make rooms lighter and feel bigger so could make the property more appealing and easier to sell.

You can get special paints to paint the insides but I must admit that I have seen it done a few times and the finish wasn't that great. There are also specialist company's that can properly spray paint the frames but the cost would be close to just replacing them.
