To smiley or not?

From time to time I've been accused of overdoing the smileys. I freely admit to getting carried away on occasions to the point where my posts were difficult to read so I've turned them down a bit but I still get the occasional complaint. The time has come to put it to the vote:

Ever since I first came on this forum I've been intrigued by those animated smileys. If I promise not to scatter them all over the place will you tell me how to do them?

most of the animated ones that you find on the net for example for emails
they are in hmtl but they won't work on here you need to find them in bbcode.
they are hard to find good ones in bbcode.

and you'll have to set your settings at the top settings-forum settings.
