Just try to keep the house as warm as you can. Open the loft hatch if there are pipes in there,find out where your stop cock is and make sure you can turn off your water with it and if water stops running at any taps then turn off your water.

BTW, BG were allowing people to go on home care as lates as October with a repair for addtional cost. The cheapest per month for this was £29 and the most expensive was £39 with all the bells and whistles. Homecare on it's own isabout £16 p/month.

All fixed now, was the PCB board in the end and it had not one but 2 huge burn marks on it when it went boom!
Reason unknown for failure and no evidence of water contamination found. I guess it just gave up on life
