Evening All , if someone can advise me i would be extremely grateful. I have several windows that have dropped a couple of mm on the handle sides.
After watching many youtube videos and purchasing the shovel and packers I attempted to sort the issue.
I removed the beads and looked to see if there was any gaps between the spacers frame and sealed unit but couldnt identify any obvious gaps.
both of the heel and toes had a black and grey spacers.

I removed the unit and tried to reinsert it back into the frame, but found that it would not go back in as it was catching on the already installed spacers.

I had to remove the grey spacers on the toe sections at the top and botto to get it back in and manged to slide in a couple of slighly thinner spacers.
obviously this had made the situation worse.

Am i better removing all the packers and starting again completely from scratch

One bit on a video confused me, is the first spacer fitted (black) just to raise the level in the recess up to the frame ridged level, before the actually toe heeling commences

Any hints or tips or directions to good videos or instruction would be gratefully received.

many thanks

Glenn

I'm going to be told I'm wrong.
I've not fitted many windows and doors over the years as not my trade, but I've always packed all the way around tight on glass and panels.
I've had uPVC get out of shape so I've wedged to force square temporary then used packers around the glass..
I've had conversations with a few over the years that have explained the heal and toe and id love the mythbusters to look at it.
My argument is no matter how you pack the weight is on the hinges.
Also packing all the way around keeps it square and true so can't fall out of shape.
What do I know?
Nothing.
I'm going to keep packing all the way around, especially on doors and any glass I have to replace on windows.
Anyone want to correct me please do because I don't get it.
