I'd love any help you could provide with this! Thanks in advance.

This toilet keeps filling after flushing. Forgive me for forgetting the names of all the bits because it's been a long time since I've had to get my hands into one of these.

The overflow bit on the left keeps draining out the filling water. Seems if I press down on the right side cylinder, it stops. The cylinder seems a little loose at the black rubber ring.

If anyone can guide me to specifically what needs to be done I'd be very grateful!

It looks like a Flomasta valve. I am not familiar with that model but if you isolate it you should be able to unclip the top and inside there will be one or more rubber washers. Sometimes you can get grit or limescale stuck on them which stops it shutting off the water properly. Give them a clean and see if that helps. If not you should be able to get replacements or just get a new fitting from screwfix etc... and pinch the parts from it.

yes, some types of valve can dribble if they get grit or limescale in them, typically after work has been done on the plumbing. You might find if you can take it apart, and wash out some grit, that fixes it.

Or, at modest cost, you could buy a replacement.

This one is very good

It is the version with the brass shank, which is less prone to accidental damage while fitting.

Fantastic, thanks for the advice both! I'll give it a go this weekend and see what happens.
