Dear all I have this understairs toilet and the cistern fill valve needs replacement but it is fixed in a way that I need to move or remove the cistern in order to extract it (please see pictures). The black holders have a clip that I have removed but I am unsure how to move on from here. Any ideas please?

Looks from pic 1 like it’s screwed and bolted to the side. Isolate the supply and fully drain the cistern ( a wet and dry vac is ideal), then remove. Make sure you’ve got a second usable WC and the spares you need in advance, otherwise consider calling a plumber.
