I have just drilled the whole to take my toilet waster pipe out the side wall of my house to join it on the soil stack.
The waste needs to come out of the wall and the go sideways for about a metre before connecting to the stack.
Question is, what to i connect the waste to immediatley as it comes out the wall. I had bought a 90deg bend but have just realised that this will push the horizontal pipe to far away from the side wall. Do i have to enlarge the hole outside to be able to push half of the 90deg bend into the wall thus making the connecting pipe closer to the wall.
Does that make sense?
help please
thanks

Yes. And if you've bought a ring seal socket bend then the hole needs to be larger than for a solvent welded socket bend.

Does that make sense?
Yes, but you won't need to get "half of the 90deg bend into the wall" - usually the same amount as the pipe insertion depth is enough.

thanks for that.
need to go get a bigger drill bit now. THought i only needed one to pit the 110mm pipe through.

If you've already drilled the hole to 110mm then I don't see how you're going to use a bigger drill on it, as the pilot hole will have gone.

You might want to consider the judicious use of a hammer and a small chisel.
