Hi

My in-laws are having a problem with their toilet continually running through into the bowl. A visiting friends child pulled too hard on the flush which seemed to cause the problem. I have included some photos of the mechanism incase someone can identify it and where I may get a replacement.

As far as I can tell there is a metal wire which goes from the central bit to the flush handle, and it doesn't seem to go back all the way, shutting of the pipe between cistern and pan. I have had a look and can't see anything. I wondered if it was inside the central bit and I can't seem to find a way in to that without breaking it? I was thinking it may be easier to replace this section to the flush instead of call a plumber etc,

Any help in identifying the part or suggestions would be great

Many thanks

If its leaking into the pan constantly, it will be the rubber seal on the bottom of the syphon. Twist left or right GENTLY to release it

Yeah I think that is where it is. When I push that down it does stop, its like it goes down halfway atuomatically but whatever mechanism makes it go all the way has broken/come apart. I have taken it out but can't see anything and not sure how to get 'inside'.
