Toilet flowing without pressing flushing it

Hi expert DIY

So every so often, when washing machine on, shower on or for no reason, the toilet start to overflow / leaked for no reason which over Xmas end up is quite a fair consumption when I was away.

See picture of current set up.

Anything that is going wrong there? or could be going wrong that I can fix myself?

by changing the float valve, do you mean the unit to something new like:


Or do you just have to change any washer that is within the valve if any?

Change the complete valve ,either of the above and preferably one with a brass tail.
Plastic tails are prone to cross threading too easily.
You could try servicing Your existing valve ,but I would just fit a new one.
