ive installed a toilet, then later relaised it had a leak sue to a hairline crack in the cistern... could this have been caused by me tightning the wont nuts to the pan to tight??

question is when installing a toilet how tight should all the bolts and nuts be with a close coupled toilet. im referring to when connecting the cistern to the pan??

The kit that came with the toilet should have all sorts of seals and normally just require a pinch to make them water tight,If you are not use to it then you test it by filling with water. Its never good idea to over tighten anything on the cistern
