My mother has just had an upstairs toilet fitted with a macerator. The waste has been plumbed, not to the existing toilet stack but to the bath and sinks waste which connects to the kitchen sink waste downstairs. Is this allowed? it seems very wrong to me.

is this a new wc or replacing an existing wc ?
is it in the same rom as the bath etc ?
how far is it from the soil stack ?

have you got a diagram to explain it better ?

It goes into an open hopper about 10 foot from ground level then straight into the ground. the kitchen sink waste joins before it reaches the ground. It doesnt get anywhere near the soil stack, Unless its beneath the ground.

Sorry I dont know how to add diagrams

cheers
