Toilet seat removal

How do you undo the seat fittings ? It looks like a nut/bolt rather than a screw securing the hinge to the base. Do I just undo the nuts? There are No fittings accessible under the base, no nuts or screws. Thanks in advance.

Out of shot on outside of your picture there maybe a button you push in
 
Nothing..just white plastic casing on both sides of the seat.

I’ll get a spanner on the fittings tomorrow…it’s the only visible part of the fittings. Thanks!
 
In that case as above. Open seat and lift off. Simple
 
Looks like a Geberit. Close seat and use Allen key behind the pin. I turned mine round to make access easier.
