Toilet seat replacement on back to the wall toilet

Hi,

Couple of images attached. Is it possible to replace this toilet seat without un-plumbing the toilet to gain access to the underneath of the bowl.

Start by pressing /pulling anything that looks like a button, if that fails try removing the screws and as a last resort there is always the hacksaw.

Undo and remove the two screws ,one in each of the hinge bases. that should enable you to pull up ,and off ,the seat. That will reveal the anchorages ,which you can then establish if they can be removed from above . post a pic of them if need be.

That`s gonna take a lot of silicone!

We’ve got a similar setup on our upstairs toilet. Remove the two screws and the seat should pull off, leaving two pins/studs. Holding those studs on are a couple of butterfly/toggle screws. Undo the screw and the posts and screws can be removed. The butterfly screws are something like this.

Looks like the style of loo thats not tight to wall as top is.?

All sorted. As advised I had to get the hacksaw out on one of the brackets. The rubbers plugs had to be pushed "down and in".
I fitted this.. https://www.screwfix.com/p/soft-close-toilet-seat-duraplast-white/4101k
It is own brand "Cooke & Lewis" but I picked it from the reviews. Easy to fit. Looks and feels good good and solid.
